14 Weeks Belly Pic!!

13 week 4 days, Cerclage/Surgery

Hi! So today was the day. I woke up at 3am to Kennedy in her baby monitor saying "Apple?Apple?"it was too funny, shes been obsessed with apples lately wanting to eat them all the time. We got ready and took her to her gmas for the day. We had to be at the hospital by 530am we got there right on time. Checked in and waited, and waited. They took me back to pre op, changed, started all my ivs, blood drawn, and of course all the questions they ask you. The they wanted to know how last time went, which not so good. The OB nurse came down for L&D and TRIED to find the babys heartbeat, and couldnt, which freaked me out a little. The anastehisad dr cam in and we talked about what to do for meds, with Kennedy i had a spinal AND they put me under for some weird reason. They had so many problems with my spinal with her i wanted to avoid that part. SO we decided to just go under. The my dr showed up, a little late. I told her that they couldnt find the babys heart beat and she went and got the dopple and found it right away! Thank goodness! That made me feel better. I think i was alot more anxious this time than last time since i knew what to expect. So after they heard the babys heartbeat they took me back to the OR and they knocked me out the next thing i knew i was in recovery,then the OB nurse cam to hear the babys heartbeat again and she gotit too 155 BPM that time so good! such a good sound to hear! I was there for about an hour then went to post op and Adam was in the room waiting for me. Dr Simmons had talked to him after and told him that i did good, and that she tried to place the stitch on one of my old scars, she did one set on my old scar and then another set above that one higher which is good news, the higher the better. I was not dilating this time or shortening which made me feel great! I was in post op for a little while before i got to go home because my blood pressure was a little low, so they just gave me more fluids then i was fine. When all was said and done i was out of there by 930am!record time! With Kennedy i was there till 6pm! So much better expierence this time around, i think it helps to know whats going on too, its like trial and error the 1st time. After we got home we left Kennedy at her gmas for a little while so Adam and I could rest a little, I am in alot more pain this time than i was with Kennedy though i will say that. I thought id be ok just taking the 800mg Motrin they gave me but it wasnt, so Adam had to go get my pain meds she prescribed. They are helping a little but it hurts to walk,pee and even sit up, i hope it goes away a little tmr. I am also bleeidng which i dont like, i know its normal but still i dont like it when im pregnant. I dont remember bleeding with Kennedy, its not too bad just a little and mucusey(spelling?)which is normal too. I start my contraction meds tonight already till i have my stitches removed. So now i feel like a pharmacy already! Motrin,Loratab,Folic Acid,Prometrium,heartburn pills, the list goes on and on!lol! My next drs appt is in 2 weeks, it an ultrasound and a regulare drs appt, andf i cant wait to see the baby again!

13 Week Belly Pics!

Here are some new pictures of my growing belly! They were taken on Monday, im getting super big super fast. Does this mean its a boy?!?! We will see i guess! My gut feeling is its a boy! I can't wait to find out, 20 weeks cannot come soon enough! Im also starting to feel the baby move! Exciting! I have been for a couple weeks actually, with Kennedy i was 14ish weeks so it happens early for me i guess! Tomorrow is my cerclage placement/surgery, wish me luck. As long as maybe it goes a little smoother than with Kennedy i will be fine. Adam took the day off so he will be with me. We have to get up at 4am to get ready, wake Kennedy up and take her to grandma's shes going to be so confused! Poor girl! I will post tomorrow after i get home if im feeling up to it!

12 Week Ulltrasound and Drs Appt.

So today was my 12 Week NT scan for downsyndrome, and all the bloodwork that goes with that too. First i had my ultrasound. Right away you could see the baby the moment she put the scanner on my belly! the baby has grown so much these last 3 weeks its crazy! The baby is measuring right on track give or take a day, but they said thats normal, the heartrate was 167 BPM which is also normal, such a wonderful sound to hear! My cervix is still th same 4cm which is good, no change from 3 weeks ago, which is what we want! I will go for my cerclage next Friday the 21st, im a little apprehensive about it, Kennedys didnt go so well hopefully this time is better though. I have gained 5 lbs since my last appt 3 weeks ago, which seems like alot, my dr said i was fine,lol.So for a grand total of 10lbs already, at this rate i will be a blimo by the end! Im already showing enough for ppl to notice and i could be wearing maternity clothes but im holding off as long as possible! My next actual drs appt is at 16 weeks, so June 7th, its an ultrasound to check the placement of the stiches and a regular appt too. Well i think that is all for now, i will right next week before my surgery and after im sure!
